Who is ‘aia’?

aia was born on May 4, 1992 in Istanbul.

She was only 7 years old when she first started dreaming of a career in music. She had a good start in 2020 with her first official single project, ‘bulamadım. Then, she became the first independent female artist to establish her own company in her industry with her own music company ‘wammawadod entertainment’ and released her first album ‘pearls the visual album’ under the signature ‘wammawadod’. With ‘pearls the visual album’, a global and multi-language album consisting of 15 songs and 15 concept music videos, she proved that she is an artist, a songwriter and a musician who appeals to many different audiences with her musical style. Aia, who refers to her style as ‘aiafusion’ because her musical style is a fusion of many different musical genres, states that musical styles such as ‘R&B, Pop, Rap’ and many other musical genres are the building blocks that make up her musical style.

Aia, who realized her musical talents and other talents in the field of art at a very young age, started to show her followers that there were no limits in the music she made and her unique musical talents and difference as an artist in the original “cover” and “mash up” videos she created on social media as of 2009. Aia, who became known on social media with the music videos she shot in her room by adding her original interpretation to different music genres, continued to reflect all this knowledge into her own music and art. Aia, an award-winning and a successful industrial designer (Master of Industrial Design), continued her education and practices in the field of music and art, while working as a designer in the design industry for 6 years and continues her efforts to improve herself in the field of music and different branches of art today. She founded her own design brand ‘IKHYGAIA’ in 2020 and started to offer her audience special and concept design products that she designed in parallel with her songs.

Aia, who started taking dance training since the age of 2, announced to her fans that she would appear with her live stage performances by combining her talents in music and dance and also with her performances in front of the camera in her music videos. Aia, a singer, a dancer and a designer, has shown that she is a global artist with the goal of representing Turkey in the world, by combining her successes in these 3 fields and all these talents in her music.
